Space ScienceInternational Moon Day 2025
International Moon Day is celebrated every year on July 20 to commemorate humankind’s first landing on the moon, by the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. The UN General Assembly formally recognised this date in 2021, following a proposal recommended by the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS).
